ABOUT CROSSOVER BLENDERY
Crossover Blendery is an independent craft blendery based at Lannock Manor Farm in rural North Hertfordshire, specialising in intricate barrel-aged beers created through spontaneous fermentation and mixed culture brewing.
Founded in 2018 by George and Charlie, the blendery focuses on producing beers that evolve slowly over many years inside aged French oak barrels. Guided entirely by wild yeast and bacteria, these beers develop complex layers of acidity, funk, fruit and oak character, creating beers designed to challenge and captivate the palate.
Surrounded by arable farmland and pasture, Crossover Blendery places huge importance on sourcing high-quality British ingredients with a strong focus on local farmers and growers whenever possible. Traceability, seasonality and patience sit at the heart of the brewery's philosophy, with no fixed core range and instead a constantly evolving lineup of experimental and limited release beers.
In 2022, the blendery expanded further with the opening of the Blendery Taproom, giving visitors the opportunity to experience these unique beers directly at the source in the peaceful Hertfordshire countryside. Every release reflects a commitment to craftsmanship, patience and the pursuit of flavour through natural fermentation.
Whether you're a fan of sour beer, wild ales, barrel-aged releases or discovering some of the UK's most innovative mixed fermentation brewing, Crossover Blendery offers a fascinating introduction to one of Britain's most distinctive independent producers.
