Twisted Barrel burst onto the Coventry beer scene on March 29, 2014. Following months of dedicated work crafting a selection of beers to satisfy the city's patrons seeking a blend of modern and classical styles, the brewery successfully launched its products at Inspire, Coventry's premier bottle bar.

Originally operating on a 60-litre kit, Twisted Barrel proudly identified as 'the UK's first Pico-brewery' and held the title of the smallest commercial brewery in the country at the time. Despite the initial success, high demand quickly outpaced the brewing capacity of approximately 120 bottles.

Fast forward to June 20, 2015, and Twisted Barrel celebrated another milestone with a launch at its new Brewery and Tap House in FarGo Village. Equipped with a new 1000-litre brewing kit and a fresh brand design by Stewart Easton, the brewery realized its vision.

Nearly two years later, Twisted Barrel expanded further, moving its bar and brewing kit into a space five times larger than before, still serving exceptional beer at FarGo Village. The expanded venue accommodates up to 300 people and boasts the largest beer selection in Coventry.

With an increased fermenting capacity of 3000 litres and additional brewing space, Twisted Barrel has expanded keg and cask output and ventured into packaging cans for national and international markets. 

Twisted Barrel has been voted Rate Beer West Midland Brewery of the Year, and Beer of the Year (multiple winner).

Twisted Barrel brews three core beers which are available all year round in keg and can:

• Pixel Juice, 4.0% Juicy Pale: A modern pale, heavily hopped with Citra and Mosaic for a juicy, tropical finish. Tap House best-seller and extremely easy-drinker.
• Sine Qua Non, 4.5% Session IPA: West Coast Session IPA, dry and refreshing with citrus notes and a balanced bitterness. A long-standing and ever-popular classic.
• God’s Twisted Sister, 4.5% Oatmeal Stout: A smooth, roasted stout with coffee and liquorice notes. A perennial favourite.

Other regularly brewed favourites include Detroit Sour City 4.5% Dry-Hopped Sour, Gose Town 4.5% Triple Berry Gose, Chasing Feathers 5.0% New England Pale, Lonely Souls 6.0% Belgian Blonde.

Other beers making regular appearances and brand new one-offs include Fruit Pales, NEIPAs, DIPAs, Saisons, Imperial Stouts, a variety of Hazy Pales and Tropical Sours, Single-Hopped Pales, Porters, Spiced Dubbels, Wheat Beers, Milds, and the weird and wonderful.
